So we cancelled the booking we have for Holy Infant Chapel in Fort Bonifacio (actually, we are still reserved for July 17) and decided to look for another church and reception. Eugene found this venue, Makati Park and Garden that hosts different events, including weddings. It is expensive for folks living outside Makati City, but since my fiancĂ© is from Makati, we have a discount! Amen. So we booked an August 21 (Chinese auspicious wedding date) reception (available slot is 2PM to 6PM) and went straight to our target church, Mater Dolorosa, a five minute drive from the reception. The church, we thought, was cheap… it was actually twice the cost of our reception, but the lovely small [airconditioned] church is worth the price. Am super happy.

Wedding Preps and all that Jitters
Whew, yesterday was a tiring day for both Eugene and I. We finally found a decent reception to host our wedding and we already booked the church. Originally, we are aiming to have the wedding inside the Navy-Marines camp in Fort Bonifacio, they have a church with discounted rate for marines or navy and and they also have an Officers Club, a reception which is walking distance from the church. However, the Philippine Navy Officer’s Club has its own caterer, with a very limited menu (oh come on… fried chicken for a wedding, are they serious?!!!).
